Man arrested for assault after traffic collision

Limassol police have arrested a 33-year-old man suspected of assaulting two men aged 58 and 20 after a traffic collision.

The police obtained an arrest warrant after the two men filed a complaint that he had caused them serious injuries.

According to the report made to the police, the incident took place around 12.30 pm on Thursday following a traffic collision between the suspect and one of the complainants.

The younger man notified his father when the suspect reportedly pushed him after he asked for an explanation about the collision.

When the 58-year-old arrived on the scene, the 33-year-old reportedly punched both him and his son in the face.

The 58-year-old suffered a broken nose and bruises on his face, while the 20-year-old suffered minor head injuries.

Father and son were treated at a private clinic following the incident, with the former receiving stitches.

The case is under investigation by Limassol CID.
