A meeting of the scientific team to re-evaluate the epidemiological picture of Covid-19 and decide what restrictions can be lifted next week was held on Tuesday night.

The epidemiologists are currently presenting their proposals to President Nicos Anastasiades and to other ministers. The leaders of the parties will be briefed by the President after the meeting with the scientific team.

A final decision on the easing of measures will be taken by the Council of Ministers on Thursday.

According to reports, the first phase of the easing of measures will see the reopening of high schools and of the gyms for personal training.

The reopening of restaurants and bars is not likely to take place until after mid-March.

Finally, the 9pm curfew is also set to remain in place for another month, as well as the obligation for the public to send no more than two SMS per day for movement.
