Coronavirus: Limassol leads in health and safety violations

In the past 24 hours, police carried out 11,493 checks for violations of coronavirus measures and booked 152 individuals, including four business owners.

Most were caught in Limassol, 83, while 20 were fined in Nicosia, another 20 in Larnaca, 13 in Paphos, 10 in Famagusta and two in the Morphou area.

With 2.1 per cent, the percentage of persons booked out of those inspected is nearly double in Limassol compared with the 1.3 average across Cyprus.

In Nicosia, 0.99 per cent of those checked are fined, in Larnaca 1.7, in Paphos 0.93, in Famagusta 0.81 and in Morphou just 0.18.
