Coronavirus: More than 13,000 checks, 168 booked

Police booked 168 individuals, including two business owners, for violating coronavirus protocols during 24 hours from Tuesday until Wednesday.

In total, 13,021 checks were carried out, 792 by traffic police, 98 by marine police and 10 by the rapid response unit.

In Nicosia, police conducted 2,977 inspections, in Limassol 4,046, in Larnaca 1,298, in Paphos 1,527, in Famagusta 1,391 and in the Morphou district 882.

As in previous days, the majority of people flouting measures, 95 of the 168, were caught in the Limassol district.
