Limassol police are investigating a labour accident after a 22-year-old fell from a nine-metre height in a construction site in Moni area.

The injured man is hospitalised in Limassol general hospital with head and lung injuries and a fractured arm, police said. His condition is serious but stable according to his doctors.

According to police, the accident occurred at 11.30am when a plastic part of the roof of the erected warehouse where the 22-year-old worked, collapsed and resulted in the man’s fall.

Officers arrived at the scene to investigate the causes of the accident and said it appears the roof caved in from the weight of the young worker.
