Delays on highway after eight cars involved in collision

An eight-car pile up caused a huge traffic jam on the Limassol-Paphos motorway, in the direction of Limassol on Monday morning.

According to head of Limassol traffic police Michalis Michael the collision occurred near the Ayios Savvas church in Ypsonas.

Investigations indicate five vehicles were initially involved and another three vehicles moving in the same directions crashed into them.

So far, no serious injuries have been reported.

Drivers in the area are urged to be careful and follow instructions by traffic police.
