Limassol police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a robbery committed earlier this month.

On March 6 at around 2.30am an unknown person entered premises in Limassol, and, threatening an employee with a knife, stole money from the cash register.

At 11.20pm on Monday, police officers spotted a 42-year-old man inside a car parked in a secluded area in Limassol and when they checked found he fits the description of the thief.

The suspect was in possession of €490, a bat and a pair of binoculars.

He could not explain how he obtained the money and was arrested in the early morning hours.
