Almost 9,000 vaccination appointments for those aged 66 and older will be made available over the weekend, the health ministry announced on Friday.

Some 8,934 appointments will be made available though the online vaccination portal from 8am on Saturday to 7pm on Sunday, the ministry’s announcement stated.

Appointments will be available in vaccination centres nationwide.

The ministry also announced the relocation of the vaccination centre in Pasydy building to the arrivals area in Larnaca Port starting Monday.

“The new vaccination centre increases the possibility for service, since 11 workshops can operate simultaneously in the area,” the announcement added and thanked the directory of Larnaca port for allocating the space.

Cyprus vaccination plan prioritises the elderly, health professionals and vulnerable groups of the population.
