Cyprus Public Transport free of Covid two months running

00 posts. march21 05

Cyprus Public Transport (CPT) announced that it had been operating its routes Covid-free over the last two months.

None of its drivers nor any of members of management in the Nicosia and Larnaca districts had tested positive, and all personnel had performed their duties as required.

This milestone is due, largely, to CPT’s investment in internal safety systems, and to the protection measures the company has consistently implemented, in light of the fact that its 600 employees are exposed to possible cases daily, while serving thousands of passengers. In Nicosia alone, CPT’s team deals with 10,000 passengers per day.

CPT expressed gratitude and appreciation to its passengers for complying with the government-mandated hygiene and safety rules, hoping for a worry-free routine to be possible soon.

The MLKP Consortium, made up of Malta Lines majority shareholder and Kapnos Airport Shuttle Services, has been awarded two contracts to operate public transport in Nicosia and Larnaca.
