The teen who is helping people fall in love with nature

Hey kids, today we bring you a story about a teen environmentalist, inspiring others with his love for nature.

Aman Sharma is an 18-year-old birder from Delhi, India, one of the most polluted cities in the world.

During his country’s pandemic lockdown, he heard how people were keenly observing the wildlife coexisting with them… and decided to seize the opportunity to grow their burgeoning wonder at the natural world.

Thanks to Sharma’s love for birds, which started at a young age, he began sharing his passion with other youth through his Instagram page @birds_of_india_ and through the ‘Cuckoo About Nature Club’, which today offers visitors virtual sanctuary walkthroughs.

“The wildlife has always been here … it’s just that we have opened our eyes,” remarks Sharma.
