The Classical Music Concert Series Technopolis 20 Classics is getting ready to present its first concert for 2021, Piano Trios of Beethoven and Arensky. Held at Markideio Theatre Paphos on April 12, concertmaster of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Wolfgang Schroeder along with the two talented musicians cellist Robertas Grod and pianist Gergana Georgieva will present piano trio pieces in D major.

The Technopolis 20 Classics are high-quality classical music concerts supporting local talented musicians and hosting musicians from abroad. Tickets for this concert are already on sale (€15) at Technopolis 20 before one more concert takes place at Markideio Theatre later on this month.

On April 19 Technopolis 20 Classics presents a concert titled Pictures at an Exhibition with the Evohe Wind Quartet. The music ensemble is a vibrant wind quintet founded in Cyprus and is composed of five professional musicians of five different nationalities – Virginie Bove (Flute), Simeon Spasov (Oboe), George Georgiou (clarinet), Kelly Alijani (French Horn) and Giovanni Galetti (Bassoon), all members of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. The group aims to introduce their audience not only to known works but to add a new colour and dimension to Cypriot composers and 20th century music.

During their concert next month, the five musicians will present Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky, Petite Piece by Claude Debussy and Sea Shanties by Malcolm Arnold. Similar to most performances organised by Technopolis 20, this concert will also begin at 8pm with tickets costing €15.

In May, a flute and piano concert will take place at the theatre with flutist Savvas Christodoulou and pianist Manolis Neophytou taking the stage. The two musicians met for the first time on another stage at Technopolis 20 last March, leaving the best impressions as a duet. On May 7, they return with a different repertoire with works for flute and piano, along with solo works, including compositions by F Poulenc, C Chaminde, PI Tchaikovsky, Ian Clark, N Neophytides, A Lourie, S Rachmaninoff, JS Bach, I Albeniz and M Hadjidakis.
