Celebrating International Dance Day with an Open Video Call

open video call

There’s not much dancing taking place these days, not at bars nor at parties that can’t happen. Our dose of the dance world is limited to the few dance performances that are around yet Dancehouse Lefkosia has found a way to celebrate it – through an Open Video Call in light of the International Dance Day that’s coming up on April 29.

The open video call invites works of choreographers that have already been presented. Applicants should send one or two video links of previous works. The links will be posted on the Instagram page of Dancehouse Lefkosia (@dancehouse_lefkosia) and will be open for public viewing between April 22 and 29.

Submissions should include a title, a short description in Greek and English up to 150 words, credits, a photo and of course the links to a vimeo or youtube account with the performances. A few more days remain until the deadline on April 15 and then it will be over to Dancehouse Lefkosia to share the pieces with their audiences, celebrating International Dance Day virtually!
