Inspired to blend and blur the lines between indoor and outdoor experiences, the David Rockwell Group Interior Design Studio, a Wilson Associates Interiors and SB Architects brought forward mesmerising colours and textures that align with the cultural heritage of Cyprus. From the public spaces like the lobby, to the rooms, the restaurants, and the broad steps that lead to the beach, the hotel’s design blends a modern aesthetic with monolithic forms, revealing a grandeur of Classical Greek architecture, age-old olive trees, open courtyard-like exteriors and landmark infinity pools.

 

Accommodation

The AMARA offers a total of 207 artful accommodation options all of which boast unobstructed, 180-degree views of the Mediterranean Sea. These range from rooms and suites to one-bedroom residential apartments.

Each room has been meticulously conceived and thoughtfully designed to offer a unique way of life. With comfort and convenience at the forefront of each guest’s stay, all types of accommodation enjoy insulated flooring that ensures peace and quiet, atmospheric automated mood lighting, motorised curtains, a wireless lighting control system and high-quality variable-speed cooling or heating.

In keeping with the AMARA’s ambience, accommodation options have all been inspired by Cyprus’ intricate heritage, and steeped in multi-layered cultural influences and architectural nuances expressive of the island’s pastoral past.

Natural edge wood and marble vanity stations, woven benches, white shutter walls, blue, watercolour-effect features and sliding glass doors allowing for an abundance of natural light, all come together to create a simple, subtle, and sublime sanctuary. A section of interconnecting Deluxe Bedrooms, spacious Junior Suites, Deluxe Suites, Duplex Rooftop Suites with a private pool and Seafront Bungalows, make up the Hotel’s offerings. A culinary journey

Matsuhisa Limassol

World-renowned chef NOBU Matsuhisa and the AMARA join forces to set new standards for Cyprus’ culinary offering, with the introduction of Matsuhisa Limassol. The space also designed by David Rockwell, includes one-off signature pieces, combining rich hues and soft lighting to create an intimate and elegant atmosphere.

Textures and materials have been chosen to reflect NOBU’S roots, while also celebrating the Limassol beachfront context. The overall design is sensitive, artful and as thought-provoking as the cuisine itself. The extensive and original menu at Matsuhisa Limassol offers a unique Japanese-Peruvian culinary experience with a bespoke array of NOBU’s legendary signature dishes including: Salmon Karashi Su Miso, Black Cod with Miso, White Fish Dry Miso, Rock Shrimp tempura, New Style Sashimi and NOBU Sushi and Sashimi. An extensive menu of sake and exotic cocktails, designed to blend perfectly with NOBU’s culinary journey, complements all the dishes.

Ristorante Locatelli

The Ristorante Locatelli is a revered London-based, Michelin-Star, restaurant headed by celebrity chef Giorgio LOCATELLI. Locatelli opens its doors with a menu embodying Italy’s spirit of conviviality, whereby the heart of cooking is defined as the enjoyment of quality food in good company. From homemade pastas to delectable desserts, guests will delight in dining al fresco, toasting to the charms of Italian tradition.

Armyra by Papaioannou

The AMARA’s open-air fish and seafood restaurant is a charming space, sound-tracked by the sound of the sea gently lapping on the shore. We welcome the vision and experience of Chef George PAPAIOANNOU and his brainchild, Armyra – a dedicated seafood restaurant first opened in Greece with the freshest fish, seafood and many more culinary delights prepared with the region’s purest ingredients.
