Coronavirus: 143 booked for breaking protocols

Police booked 143 individuals, among them three business owners, for breaches of coronavirus protocols from Wednesday until Thursday morning.

In 24 hours, 8,688 checks were carried out, 2,341 in Limassol, 1,663 in Nicosia, 1,283 in Larnaca, 843 in Paphos, 1,195 in Famagusta and 692 in Morphou.

67 violations were recorded in Limassol, 20 in Nicosia, 12 in Larnaca, 19 in Paphos, 23 in Famagusta and one in the Morphou district.

Traffic police conducted 613 inspections and fined six individuals.
