Finding unlikely buddies on the basketball court

Hey kids, sports may bring out our competitive side… but they can also encourage us to meet and befriend people we wouldn’t ordinarily hang out with. In this video, we encounter teens bringing peace to the basketball court.

Michael Evans helped form the organisation called Full Court Peace in 2006, with the aim to use basketball to unite Catholic and Protestant teens in Northern Ireland and build friendships. Today, the programme has not only taken hold, but it continues to helps kids foster camaraderie and trust across the religious divide.
