Elle Fanning would not watch elder sister Dakota’s acting

Just like in the case of the Olsen siblings, Elle Fanning had to watch her older sister, Dakota Fanning, take up the spotlight while dreaming about making it big herself.

Of course, other than sharing the same last name, the two actresses look unmistakably like sisters, albeit four years apart. But while the Fanning sisters are all love these days, it wasn’t always this way.

Growing up, like normal siblings, there were lots of fights before they became as close as they are now. And it didn’t help the two had to compete for the same roles! Thankfully, today, both sisters have become household names, and, at ages 27 and 23, Dakota and Elle have numerous critically-acclaimed movies under their belts.

In 2022, the pair will appear together in ‘The Nightingale’, directed by Mélanie Laurent, and based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.
