Paphos police arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with a burglary and a break-in attempt.

Officers found the suspect around 9pm on Thursday near a house for which police had received information about a possible break-in.

Police said they found burglary tools, including wrenches, screw drivers and pliers during a search of his car.

The man is also a suspect in a burglary on the same street earlier that night, during which culprits stole €700 worth of jewellery.
