Coronavirus: More than 5,000 vaccine slots booked by 20 somethings

More than 5,000 people aged 23 to 27 booked an appointment for a Covid vaccine on Tuesday, the health ministry said.

In total 5,450 appointments were booked of the 10,250 available.

On Wednesday, the vaccination portal will open at 7.30am for the 18 to 22 age group, remaining open until 5.30pm on Thursday.

On Friday, the portal will open for people over 40.

Until Monday, 56.5 per cent of the population had received the first dose of a vaccine while 37.1 per cent have completed their vaccination regimen, the health ministry said.
