How Gigi Hadid is cultivating daughter’s pride in mixed-race heritage

Opening up about motherhood in a magazine interview, supermodel Gigi Hadid got candid about raising her daughter, Khai, her child with her longtime partner, singer-songwriter Zayn Malik.

In i-D’s New Worldwide Issue, the 26-year-old revealed how she hopes to raise her daughter and how important it was to her and Zayn to cultivate Khai’s pride in her mixed-race heritage.

Gigi also said it was “super strange” to find out she was pregnant while the world was vastly changing because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but there was a “silver lining in the timing”.
