Two arrested for assault in Paphos

Paphos police HQ

Police on Wednesday said they arrested two people, aged 32 and 38, on suspicion of assaulting a man and a woman at an apartment building in Paphos.

The incident took place at 8pm last Wednesday at the ground floor of their apartment building in Yeroskipou. The complainants, a 34-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, were cleaning the entrance of the building when, as they claim, they were physically assaulted by the other two.

The woman suffered a fracture to one of the fingers on her left hand, among other injuries, police said. She received first aid at the Paphos general hospital and was later released.

The reason appears to be a disagreement of the cleanliness of the building.

Police said that the two people who were arrested claim they were also attacked by the complainants.
