Next week at Sarah’s Jazz Club

zilla project

Music, music and more music is arriving at Sarah’s Jazz Club as several musicians and ensembles take over the jazz venue’s stage. Coming up is the Kyriaki Steliou Quartet on July 22 bringing pure jazz vibes.

With Kyriaki on vocals, Aris Constantinou on guitar, Alexandros Panagiotou on bass and Marios Spyrou on drums, the quartet aims to enchant the audience with beautiful jazz melodies. Jazz singer and pianist Kyriaki is active on the Cyprus jazz scene and performs around the island, including at Sarah’s Jazz Club in Nicosia and Technopolis 20 in Paphos. The popular musician confidently leads her own ensembles and with her rich background in classical and jazz training, interprets the songs she performs in a way that is deeply rooted in jazz idiom.

On the following evening, the Zilla Project quartet will return to the jazz bar for another set of its signature, electric blues sound. Widely known around the island and abroad, each Zilla Project member brings their own spice to performances. Popular frontman Emmanuel Vourakis performs vocals and electric guitar, Nikolas Melis plays the piano, colouring the sound with sweet-sounding blues harmony, Loizos Pafitis sets down a compelling blues groove on electric bass and Stefanos Meletiou commands a vigorous pace on the drums. Catch them at 9.30pm!
