According to the ministry, some 70.3 per cent of the adult population have completed their Covid vaccination – 62.4 per cent in the EU — while those with at least one jab reached 76.6 per cent against the EU’s 73 per cent.

The ministry said it aimed to administer at least one dose of the vaccine to 80 per cent of the eligible population by August.
