A 32-year-old was arrested in Limassol on suspicion of stealing from a parked vehicle and then using one of the stolen credit cards, police said on Monday.

The incident took place this past Friday, police said. The suspect stole the keys of a parked car along with a bag containing a wallet and a purse, a number of documents and credit card details.

A purchase worth over €145 was then made on the same night at a Limassol kiosk using one of the stolen cards.

The 32-year-old was identified and arrested with a warrant around noon on Monday, when he reportedly admitted to his guilt and returned some of the items he stole.

He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
