Coronavirus: Four businesses, 29 people booked for violating measures

Five businesses and 29 individuals across the island were booked in the 24 hours until 6am Monday for violating coronavirus protocols, police said.

The fines resulted from 3,756 checks.

According to police, eight people were fined in Nicosia after 1,474 checks, 11 people and one business in Limassol after 334 checks and five individuals in Larnaca after 657 checks.

Four establishments were booked in Paphos and one person after 304 checks, while Famagusta officers booked four people after 530 checks.

No violations were reported in Morphou or by the traffic and marine police.

Breaches of coronavirus measures include failure to wear a face mask or carry a SafePass among others.
