CySO gets dancing on the keys

Σολίστ 2

The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra is back with a brand-new concert! It’s been a good while since we saw these young talented musicians take the stage live, apart from a few pre-recorded programmes they released on their social media channels during our various lockdowns, but on September 16 they will perform a concert titled Dancing on the Keys.

The young musicians will perform dances from diverse cultures and eras with works by Antonín Dvořák, Camille Saint-Saëns, Zequinha de Abreu, Georgy Sviridov as well as Edvard Grieg’s romantic concerto for piano and orchestra. The soloist of the evening at Strovolos Municipal Theatre is 14-year-old pianist Jayden Maroun, who has won the special prize at the Island Music Festival – Competition 2019 participating as a soloist with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Under conductor Yiorgos Kountouris, the Youth Orchestra will begin their concert at 8.30pm at the theatre.
