Jazz, wine and a tasteful evening at a winery! That’s what’s arriving at winery Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades in Omodos this Saturday 11 as it hosts the first Oenou Jazz Festival. In collaboration with Dream Theatre Productions, the festival will feature four live bands and local wines from the winery to take visitors on a charming journey.

Oenou Jazz Festival is inviting guests to enjoy their award-winning wines overlooking the hills of Afamis mountain to the sounds of 14 renowned Cypriot artists. “Experience strength, with the unsurpassed majesty of the building; beauty, with the unique beauty of Omodos; fragrance, with the explosive aromas of our wines; coolness, with the clean mountain atmosphere; and finally, movement, that will awaken through the jazz sounds of the bands’ artists, hosted by our winery,” say the organisers.

Four bands, including that of actress Mara Constantinou and Michalis Messiou, Amor Fati, which means ‘love of fate’, will transform the winery’s veranda into a wine-musical experience starting at 6.30pm. During the festival, there will be tours of the wine production area, while event-goers will also be able to enjoy the view and see the creations of Mara Constantinou ‘MaraArtCreations’ up close.

The evening’s line-up will begin with the Marios Toumbas Trio, then The Visitor featuring Nicole Ardanitou will take the floor, followed by Amor Fati. The final band to perform is the Nardis Quartet with musicians Hermes Michael, Andreas Pantelis, Ioannis Vafeas and Michalis Messios wrapping up the winery’s first-ever jazz festival.
