The car of Marios Koyionis, a 35-year-old man missing from his home since Wednesday, was found in Akamas on Sunday, police said, but traces of the man continue to be elusive.

Koyionis was missing from his Marathounda home in Paphos since Wednesday and was last seen wearing jeans and a white, short-sleeved printed t-shirt.

In a plea to the public for information, police described him as broad-shouldered, average height, with short, black hair and has a grey, Toyota Corolla car with number plates KKP830.

Police last found signal from his phone on Friday, in the Akamas area. On Sunday, his vehicle was found, and members of the police, forestry department, civil defence, helicopters and police dogs were searching for him.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Paphos CID at 26 806021 or the closest police station or the citizens line at 1460.
