Bank of Cyprus and Kotsovolos unite to support rural schools

In the context of its social responsibility initiative and the SupportCY network, the Bank of Cyprus (BoC) collaborated with Kotsovolos to strengthen and empower children’s education by supporting rural schools.

The action centred on improving educational tools.

Joining forces, BoC and Kotsovolos offered 28 tablets to the Omodos School, which combines a gymnasium, lyceum, technical and vocational school.

“The tablets were gifted in the context of our programme to bolster rural schools,” BoC social responsibility officer Christina Christodoulou said.

“Technology gives students the opportunity for a well-rounded education, and through our contribution we are trying to give as many children as possible this opportunity”.

Kotsovolos retail operations area manager Giorgos Karayiorgos said that “we want to contribute substantially to empower our fellow human beings in every possible way and make their lives better through technology”.

This collaboration, part of the SupportCY network, proves once more than society can be supported through common and targeted actions.
