A 17-year-old Greek Cypriot reported by his family as missing from his Nicosia home has been arrested in the north on suspicion of possession of 390 grammes of cannabis, reports said on Friday.

Turkish Cypriot media reports said two suspects had been arrested at Pergamos. Both suspects were aged 19. The reports only have the suspects’ initials and make no mention they are Greek Cypriots.

The initials of one of them match the name of the teenager who was reported missing since Wednesday.

Police in the Republic issued an announcement just stating that the missing teen has been found.

Cyprus Times reported that efforts were being made so that he can be released through the bicommunal committee on crime.
