Police seized half a kilo of cannabis and arrested a 25-year-old man who had earlier failed a narcotest on Monday night in Nicosia.
Police said officers carrying out checks had stopped a car at around 11pm. The 25-year-old driver submitted to a narcotest, which came back positive, police said.
Officers then searched his car and found 500 grammes of cannabis. The man was placed under arrest while the drug squad investigates the case further.
