Live music at Vinylio over the festive period

Music, music and more music is what this December is all about as local and guest musicians and bands get ready for the final performances of the year. Adding to the cheerful mood of the season, quaint Limassol bar, Vinylio Wine Etc is hosting three live music evenings this month and another one on the very first day of 2022.

On December 23, Berlin-based artist Valerie Stavrou will bring her indie, pop and rock influences to Limassol, performing an acoustic set. For the last few years, she has performed in several places around Cyprus and Europe and her personal solo project is called Beyond the Heavens Light – a mix up of covers and original songs. Catch it at Vinylio next Thursday at 8pm.

A more festive live will take place on Boxing Day as Mara Philippou and Annita Constantinou return to Vinylio. Combining piano and voice, the two musicians will play a repertoire of beloved Greek songs, in a Christmas-y mood.

What will follow on December 30 is a special, intimate concert featuring the famed Greek singer Mirela Pahou. Performing uplifting, festive songs in a swing mood but also rock, Mirela will create a cheerful party on Thursday 30 for just a few guests – as many as the bar is now allowed to fit. Playing her accordion and accompanied by Dimitris Sinogiannis on electric guitar and Dimitris Moutafis on electric base, this promises to be a unique musical celebration.

Just as the New Year rolls in, Vinylio Wine Etc will welcome musicians Elena Solea and Antonis Policarpou for a totally festive, jolly music party on January 1. From 9pm onwards the two musicians will perform cheerful songs of the season and other favourites while taking requests from the audiences, completing this holiday series of live music events.
