A Human Library will be organised by the House of Representatives in collaboration with the NGO Human Library – Cyprus on Thursday afternoon, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

“The Human Library does not have books, but people willing to share their stories and experiences, with the aim of combating prejudice and enhancing the promotion of diversity,” the parliament said in a statement.

The Human Books available at the event at the Philoxenia conference centre currently housing parliament, will either be directly or indirectly related to disability issues.

Members of Parliament, parliamentary associates and staff, as well as guests of parliamentary committees will be able to borrow a Human Book for a limited period of time and ask related questions.
