Coronavirus: Six people and two businesses fined for violations

Six individuals and two businesses were fined in the past 24 hours for violating coronavirus protocols, police said on Friday.

The fines came from 2,535 checks across the Republic.

A police spokesman said two individuals were booked out of 1,351 checks in Nicosia, while 138 checks in Limassol resulted in two businesses being fined.

One person was fined in Larnaca after 313 checks, and three more in Famagusta after 510 checks.

In addition, 104 checks were carried out in Paphos, and 56 in Morphou, with no fines.
