House destroyed by arson attack, one arrest

A 31-year-old man was arrested Sunday night on a warrant and detained to facilitate investigations into a case of arson.
On Saturday night a fire broke out in a house, owned by a 50-year-old man, in the Famagusta district.
The house was completely destroyed by the blaze. During inspection it was determined that the fire had been set maliciously with the use of flammable material.
The case is under ongoing investigation.
