Nicosia police on Wednesday said they have arrested a 27-year-old man after they find 16 stolen credit cards in his possession during a traffic check.

The man was driving in Aglandjia on Tuesday when he was stopped for a traffic check.

Officers said the driver presented a driver’s license from a third-country which appeared to be fake.

Further investigations showed the man’s licence had been suspended and was driving without insurance or road tax.

Police also found 16 credit cards which appear to belong to other persons.

Omorfita police station is investigating the case.
