Tree-planting in area lacking green spaces

The Initiative for Green will be planting trees this Sunday in Kokkinotrimithia and everyone is welcome.

The tree-planting will take place at 11am, next to the Neo Plaza commercial and leisure centre.

“In our area there is a marked absence of green and the consequences of climate change in our country, push us to create more green spaces in our area,” said the community councils of Kokkinotrimithia and occupied Yerolakkos, which are sponsoring the event, in the open invitation they issued.

Using the slogan ‘Green unites us,’ the councils urged people to take part in the tree-planting, “the aim of which is the creation of environmental conscience and development.”

Organisers have asked that people intending to take part, send a text message to 99528282.
