Police seek elderly man for driving his car into another pensioner

A pensioner is being sought for willfully causing bodily harm to another person, police said on Sunday.

According to assistant Paphos police chief Michalis Ioannou, the crimes of causing grievous bodily harm and damage to property were committed on Thursday by a 73-year-old man.

A 72-year-old reported that the slightly older man drove his car into him, wounding him in various parts of the body. He also reportedly caused damages to the car of the younger man.

The 72-year-old was taken to Paphos hospital for treatment and was released on Saturday.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the 73-year-old who is being sought by the police.
