Pensioner arrested after parking spot spat

A 73-year-old pensioner was arrested in Paphos on Monday for wilfully causing bodily harm to a 72-year-old man by driving his car into him.

The 72-year-old man reported the incident to the police on March 31. Apart from injuring him, the slightly older man also reportedly damaged the car of the younger man in an argument over a parking space.

Police issued an arrest warrant for the 72-year-old who was finally arrested on Monday.

The 72-year-old was taken to the Paphos general hospital for treatment and was released on Saturday.
