Police seize over 500 firecrackers

Police on Saturday said they confiscated over 500 firecrackers in Limassol and Nicosia, two weeks before Easter.

Following a tip-off, police conducted a search in the house of a 28-year-old man in the Limassol district where they found 505 firecrackers, 10 fire torches, eight smoke bombs and four fireworks.

The illegal products were confiscated and the man was arrested.

Furthermore, on Friday, police found and seized 29 firecrackers from a student in a Nicosia school.
