Man wanted by Polish authorities detained at airport

A 40-year-old man wanted in Poland under European arrest warrants was detained on arrival at Larnaca Airport from another European country on Tuesday evening.

In a statement on Wednesday, police said that during passport checks it was determined that there were two outstanding European arrest warrants issued by the Polish authorities to serve two years in jail for burglary and seven months for theft.

Larnaca police are investigating.
