Man arrested after florist shop burglary

Police have arrested a 48-year-old man in connection with a burglary at a florist shop in Paphos where €2,500 was stolen between April 19-20.

The florist shop owner told the police that €2,000 in cash and a tablet worth €500 were stolen from the premises.

An arrest warrant was issued after evidence from CCTV footage emerged against the suspect who was arrested early Tuesday.

Searching the suspect’s residence, police found the stolen tablet and after interrogation the suspect confessed to committing burglary and theft, they said.
