GuruShots hosts double exhibition in Cyprus

Photography fans get ready for a unique exhibition this May, two actually, as the international photography platform GuruShort returns with a double exhibition in Limassol. 6×6 Centre for Photography is to host for the second consecutive year the GuruShots exhibition in Cyprus, which is to launch on Friday, May 6 and will remain open until May 8.

GuruShots is the world’s greatest photography game that connects, inspires and educates photo enthusiasts around the world. Each year it organises photography exhibitions around the world and this summer and spring, alongside showcases in Sweden, the UK, and Hungary, is a double exhibition in Limassol.

“We are extremely excited to be back in Cyprus to showcase the diverse talent of photographers and host the next double GuruShots exhibition at 6×6 Centre for Photography,” say organisers. “With a remarkable collection of 80 printed works (and a wealth of digital winners) submitted by photographers spanning 30+ countries, this inclusive group show is not one to be missed.”

Two exhibitions, both in print and digital, will run parallel to each other at 6×6. The Beauty of the Earth exhibition, which received 86 million votes, included 86,000 photos from 42 countries – with 835 members exhibited. A total of 38 images will be exhibited in print and the rest digitally on screens.

The Creative Composition exhibition which received 97 million votes, included 94,000 photos from 41 countries – with 861 members exhibited. Another 38 of those images will be exhibited in Cyprus, bringing images from around the world to the heart of Limassol.
