Limassol hit-and-run driver found

A 33-year-old driver, involved in a collision with a 67-year-old cyclist in Limassol, was questioned and charged in writing for the crimes he allegedly committed.

The accident happened shortly after 10am last Friday, when the 67-year-old who was riding an electric bicycle, was hit on Limassol street, in conditions under investigation.

The 33-year-old allegedly overtook the cyclist and turned left to enter Kyklades street with the result that his car collided with the bicycle.

The younger man continued his course, leaving the scene without providing assistance to the 67-year-old, who fell to the ground and was injured. She was transported by ambulance to the Limassol general hospital, where she was found to have suffered a knee injury.

Limassol traffic police are continuing investigation.
