Αnti-terrorism exercise “TRITONAS 2022” at Zygi port

Cyprus Police and the Zygi Port Authorities are conducting an anti-terrorism exercise, “TRITONAS 2022” in the area of the Port of Zygi (Vasiliko Energy Centre) between 8:30 am and 2.00 pm on Friday.

According to a Police press release, during the exercise, dummy ammunition will be used and there will be a large mobilisation of police vehicles, sea shuttles and helicopters, as well as ambulances and fire engines.

It is noted that all of the above is part of the exercise and there is absolutely no cause for concern.

Police urged the public that may be in the area to follow relevant instructions.

It is further stated that activities will be coordinated by the Emergency Response Unit’s Exercise Planning Team, headed by the Unit’s Commander
