Police probe explosion outside Aris football club offices

Limassol police were investigating on Friday after an explosive device went off at the offices of a football club.

The explosion, which occurred around 2.25am on Friday, caused damage to the main entrance of the offices, police said.

The cost of the damage has not been estimated yet.

Media published photos showing the incident took place at the newly opened shop of Aris Limassol football club.

Preliminary police examinations found that the explosion was due to an improvised metallic explosive device containing low explosive material.
