‘Run Around Paphos’ race back after two-year hiatus

The popular running event in Paphos is back after a 2-year break/CNA

Popular running event, ‘Run Around Paphos’ is back after a two-year interruption due to the measures implemented to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Runners set off at 9am on Sunday morning at Kennedy Square.

According to an announcement by Paphos municipality, this is the largest race in the city, in which hundreds of Paphos locals demonstrate their joy of sport and “fair play” every year.

The event includes four special routes, a 500 metre and a 1 km route for children, and 3 and 6 km routes for a total of eight categories for men and women.

All participants will receive participation medals and souvenirs, while trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category.

The event is organised in collaboration with Pericles Demetriou Runners Association, and is supported by the Cyprus Sports Organisation, the Amateur and Veteran Athletes Association “Stelios Kyriakides”, the Paphos Running Club, West Coast Runners, and the Sport For All programme.
