Tourist abducted and robbed in Paphos

A 27-year-old tourist was being treated for his injuries at Paphos general hospital overnight after he was allegedly attacked and robbed.

Police were informed of an injured person at Paphos general’s A&E department at around 1am this morning, according to a police report.

In his statement to police, the 27-year-old tourist, said that whilst he was in a state of intoxication and at a time and place he could not identify, four people bundled him into a car and took him to an unknown location, where they beat him up and robbed him of various personal belongings and a sum of money.

Doctors said the 27-year-old man sustained a fracture wound to his head and arm and was kept for further treatment in the surgical ward.
