279 new cases of coronavirus announced in the north on Wednesday

In the period June 1-8, 279 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the north of the island.

According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), 9,930 tests were carried out in the last week. These tests diagnosed 279 new cases.

One patient is being treated in the ‘pandemic centre’.

With the new cases, the total number of cases in the north since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 95,336.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 238 patients with COVID-19 have died in the north, CNA reported.
