Kiosk worker remanded after over €40,000 of products stolen (updated)

A 63-year-old man was remanded for five days on Thursday after stealing over €40,000 worth of tobacco and other products from various kiosks he was working at in Limassol.

The theft was reported by the manager of the kiosk management company.

According to the police, during an inspection at the company, it was found that between May 1 and June 10, tobacco products worth €40,925 were stolen from different kiosks.

Police said they received information against the 63-year-old, who was working as a cashier at various kiosks of the company. He denies involvement.
