Police have issued a warning to the public after finding counterfeit €500 bills circulating in the island.
The national analysis centre of the police criminal investigation department informed the public that very good quality counterfeit €500 banknotes have been identified.
In a written statement, police advised the public to be particularly careful when making transactions.
